Teachers are very busy people and spend most of the school day with students, not in front of a computer! Sometimes, they see your messages, but are not able to respond right away.
Sometimes they don't respond at all. 🙁
We know this is frustrating, but try not to let it get you down.
- Continue to communicate as needed. The teacher may see your messages and respond a bit later.
- If you are looking for clarity around how to proceed with grading but don't receive a response, default back to best practices: Grade the work you received to the best of your ability.
- If you need a response to proceed, contact us so that our team knows there's a major issue or can otherwise help.
- Don't change your messaging habits with future teachers just because a few teachers weren't great at responding to you.
Generally speaking, teachers appreciate hearing from their Graiders and consistently give higher reviews to Graiders who have been communicative and showed an interest in their students.
Note: Our team tries to keep an eye on messages between teachers and Graiders when we can! This way we can help you if you have questions that we can answer more quickly than the teacher. We don't always see every message, so it doesn't usually hurt to contact us if we might be able to tell you how to proceed.
