If student work is shorter than estimated on average, you will still be paid based on the estimated length and time per student.
If student work is longer than estimated on average, time per student and pay will be adjusted up accordingly.
If you have the occasional essay that is significantly outside of estimates (real example: a "5-page" creative writing assignment for which a student wrote 25 pages), you should still grade this essay and record the length appropriately. This may take longer to read and comment on and will be figured into the final average.
If you are working on an assignment where the actual page length differs from the estimated page length significantly enough that you are unable to complete the assignment in the given amount of time, or if you need additional guidance regarding page length and the amount of time you should be spending on each student's work, we ask that you please contact us. (Example: If a teacher mistyped the length estimate as 0.5 pages and then submitted 5-page essays, that completely changes the scope of the assignment!)
